Well done, 12 years sounds like no mean feat.
In comparison I've just started out, been in business for two years.
I love open source technology, I'll be giving this a try in the near future.

Hello,
This is, I think, about the twentieth CMS I heard about. It sounds a little better than the formers. I'd like trying it, may be, one day, if get time.
Good luck and best regards.

Hi PM Hut :-),

Measuring success of projects is really difficult because there are so many ways of defining success. For me the best way to measure project success is to measure client happiness. Since we introduced Scrum clients are definitely a lot happier than they were before (We know because they told us :-).

One thing that happened was that we now have much better quality in our work which means that there is no testing or bugfixing phase needed at the end. Also, each team now works on one project at the time. Both of the above make the turnaround time for each project a lot shorter.

I wish we had actual numbers but it is hard to get measures from "before Scrum" as projects often used to linger on and on and it was sometimes difficult to establish an exact finish time.

From what we have seen I wouldn't say that projects have got cheaper but they have definitely got a lot faster from beginning to end and clients are happier with the results.

Hope that answers your question ...

Cheers,
Sandy

HI Sandy,

Are projects now finished faster since the adoption of Scrum/Agile in your company? How about the success rate of the projects? Did it improve?

Hi Jeremy,

The client is part of an on-going conversation and there really shouldn't be any surprises. We interact formally through the Scrum meetings and informally through face-to-face meetings (and/or skype) several times a week and sometimes daily. In an Agile project the client is part of the process.

Also, we make sure that we build small, incremental blocks of functionality that are fully developed, tested and bug-free so that if something does turn out to be more complex or the client loses funding we are left with working features. And because we always build the important stuff first in a worst case scenario we will be left with important and useful features rather than a bunch of gold-plated nice-to-haves.

I see Scrum and Agile as having major benefits for clients and in my experience many clients ask for this way of working.
